PhD student position

 

2 PhD Scholarship at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya -Barcelona Tech (UPC)

 

The TALP research center of the UPC offers two PhD studentships in the framework of the research project "Finding information in multilingual audiovisual content", funded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation, (ref. TEC2009-14094-C04-01).

The PhD research will focus on Text to speech and Statistical machine translation, respectively.

 

Requirements:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Mathematics, Natural Language Processing or Computational Linguistics.

  • The candidate should have graduated after January 1, 2006 or expecting to graduate before July 2010.

  • Previous work on speech or audio processing is valued

  • A good level of English.

Budget and duration of the Fellowship: 1350 euros gross per month for two-year scholarship and two years of contract.
